Marceau Interiors was invited to freshen the common areas and make them as inviting and inspiring as the surrounding landscape.

The Woodbine Condominiums are set on a scenic wooded landscape in Minnetonka! As with any project, the setting outside the building should work in harmony with the interior. At Woodbine, the dark, stuffy interior was out of character. We took our cues from the well-tended gardens, water features and stately mature trees. A neutral color palette was used throughout to maintain a feeling of serenity and to allow the vibrancy of modern art selections to shine. 

The flooring immediately struck us as an opportunity. We chose a bright option that played well with the abundance of sunlight and complemented the colors right outside the fabulous windows.

In the interest of budget rationing, we kept the existing wallpaper. Its neutrality played nicely with the new design, and that money was eventually needed for leveling the floors. To add interest to the large area, we installed a pattern on the floor tiles and lit the stairway. Initial plans called for a dramatic 3-story accent wall, but ultimately, a gas fireplace upgrade and surround made more sense and added real usable charm to the space. Relying on sconce lighting and hall lights enabled us to improve sightlines and still provide sufficient light levels.
